Borussia Dortmund Earn Crucial Win Over RB Leipzig
Borussia Dortmund secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over second-placed RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga on Saturday, with Jadon Sancho and Erling Braut Haaland leading the charge with two goals each.
Sancho opened the scoring in the 5th minute, tapping in from close range after a well-worked move involving Haaland. Leipzig equalized through Dani Olmo in the 71st minute, but Sancho restored Dortmund's lead just four minutes later with a stunning solo goal.
Haaland put the game beyond Leipzig's reach with two goals in the final 10 minutes. The Norwegian striker struck in the 87th minute with a powerful header and then sealed the win in the 90th minute with a clinical finish.
The victory was a crucial one for Dortmund, who moved up to third place in the Bundesliga table and now have a chance to secure a Champions League spot next season.
